UPESMET 2023

Phase 6 exam dates for UPESMET 2023 have been made public. Online registration for phase 6 has started. Till July 10, 2023, candidates can register for phase 6. The forthcoming phase 6 UPESMET exam will occur on June 12, 2023. Online slot reservations for the UPESMET selection procedure will start soon. Online slots will be available for scheduling personal interviews for candidates. The interview round will be followed by the announcement of the final admissions decision.

What is UPESMET 2023?

For admission to its MBA programmes, UPES, Dehradun administers the UPESMET common entrance exam. In important fields like Energy, Infrastructure, Transportation, Information Technology, Design, Planning & Architecture, Public Policy, and Legal Studies, UPES provides distinctive industry-focused graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. Numerous times a year, UPESMET is held. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the exam was only offered last year in an online proctored format. It is being administered in an online proctored style once again this year.

Application for UPESMET 2022 must be submitted online. As stated in the official notification, interested applicants may submit their applications for the online entrance exam within the allotted period.

UPESMET Eligibility Criteria

Learn more about UPSEMET 2023's eligibility requirements below:

• Candidates must have graduated from an accredited university in any discipline with at least 50% of the required marks.

• Candidates must have earned an overall grade point average of at least 50% in classes 10 and 12.

• Candidates who are taking their qualifying exam in their final year are also eligible for the UPESMET as long as they can show a passing certificate upon applying.

• Candidates who hold scores from the same or a prior year's MAT, CMAT, XAT, CAT, NMAT by GMAC, and GMAT are excluded from taking the UPESMET exam.

Non-Examination Pathway for PG admission

The CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT, and GMAT are national-level management entrance exams that determine admission. Group discussions and individual interviews are then conducted. Students who qualify in the non-examination pathway category fill up to 50% of the available seats. Below is a list of the minimal percentiles needed to enter the non-exam pathway:

• A minimum MAT score of the 80th percentile

• A minimum 80 percentile score on the CMAT for 2021 or 2022

• A minimum XAT 2022/CAT 2022 score of 75%

• A minimum NMAT 2022 score of 140

• GMAT results

Minimum cut off for admission through the national level entrance tests

Notably, national level entrance exams are used to fill 30% of the available seats. If any of these seats become empty, UPES will fill them using UPESMET.

Reservation of Seats 

• Candidates from the state of Uttarakhand are eligible for 15% of the seats in all programmes.

• These applicants must present a "Sthai Niwas Praman Patra" certificate.

• But if there are still open seats in the category, they will be regarded as unreserved.
