Cochin University of Science and Technology conducts CUSAT 2022 which is a university-level examination every year. Common entrance examination (CAT), department admission test (DAT), and lateral entrance test (LET) is conducted by the University for providing admission into various courses. CUSAT 2022 Application Form

Candidates can check information about CUSAT 2022 application form here-


Application form will be released online.

Candidates will be allowed to fill their application forms from the last week of January 2022.

Fill all details in the application form including education, personal, communication etc.

Upload documents i.e. photograph and signature in the specified format.

Application form can be submitted till the fourth week of February 2022.

Candidates who will apply based on GATE and MAT must email a soft copy of the score card to CUSAT.

Hardcopy of the application will not be required to send to the university.

Take a printout of the filled application form and keep it safe for future process.

Application Fee:

Application fee will be submitted online using credit card/ debit card or net banking.

Application fee is non-refundable.

CUSAT Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must refer CUSAT eligibility before they apply for the exam:

B.A.LLB (Hons.)/ B.Com LLB (Hons.):

Qualification: Candidates must pass 12th class examination from a recognized board.

Marks Criteria: Candidates must secure a minimum of 60% (55% for arts or commerce) marks in their qualifying exam.

B.Tech with Integrated M.sc:

Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.

Marks: Candidates must obtain 50% marks in their 12th class and 50% marks in mathematics subjects.

B.Tech Marine Engineering:

Qualification: Candidates must have passed intermediate examination or equivalent.

Marks: Candidates must secure 60% marks in PCM and mathematics subjects and 50% marks in mathematics only.

LLM Courses:

Qualification: Candidates must possess bachelor’s degree in law from a recognized institute.

Marks: Candidates must secure 45% marks in their qualifying degree.



CUSAT 2022 Exam Pattern

Exam Mode: Examination will be conducted online (CBT).

Type of Question: Multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam.

Number of Questions: A Total of 250 questions will be asked in the examination.

Duration: Examination will be conducted for 3 hours.

Marking Scheme: For each correct response 3 marks will be awarded.

Negative Marking: One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

CUSAT 2022 Syllabus

The syllabus for CUSAT will be different for different courses. For PG courses syllabus will be determined based on subjects like mathematics, logical reasoning, English, aptitude etc. Candidates must prepare based on 11thand 12thclass for UG courses.

CUSAT 2022 Admit Card

Authority will release the admit card online. CUSAT 2022 admit card will be available in the last week of March 2022. Admit card must be brought on the day of the examination.

Candidates must carry one photo ID proof i.e. voter ID, passport, PAN card etc. Candidates must check all the details mentioned on admit card. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall without an admit card.



CUSAT 2022 Answer Key

CUSAT 2022 answer key will be available in the second week of April 2022. Candidates will be able to check their answer key online.  Candidates can get an estimated idea of their marks through the answer key.

Candidates can submit objections against the answer key. After the release of the answer key authority will publish result.


CUSAT 2022 Result

Result will be published by the authorities online. Candidates must be able to check their result in the second week of May 2022. Candidates must check their result using roll number and password.

In the result candidates will be able to check marks obtained by them in the examination. Authority will release cut off after the result. Candidates must take a printout of the result and keep it safe.



CUSAT 2022 Cut Off

CUSAT 2022 cut off will be declared after announcement of the result. Candidates can check cut off online on the website. Candidates must secure minimum cut off marks to get admission.

Cut off will be determined based on the difficulty level of examination, availability of seats, previous year cut off etc. Candidates will be shortlisted for admission based on the cut off.



CUSAT 2022 Counselling

Candidates will be called for counselling on the basis of cut off marks. During counselling various rounds including interview and group discussion will be performed.

CUSAT 2022 counselling will start from the first week of June 2022.Seats will be allotted to candidates based on factors such as documents verification, score obtained by the candidate in exam, number of seats available.
