Babu Banarasi Das Ji, a conceived nationalist,in his initial youth, held hands with Mahatma Gandhi and Jawahar Lal Nehru in the development to liberate India from the grip of British standard. In his recognized open life spreading over well more than three decades, Dr. Das was first chosen as the Mayor of Lucknow in year 1993 and got probably the most youthful civic chairman of the world. In this way, he was chosen as a Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) in November 1996 and was reappointed for a second term in November 2002 till November 2008. Dr. Das has been chosen again as a Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) for a third successive term in 2008 till 2014.
