The Rajasthan School of Art is the most established foundation of Rajasthan advancing Art and Culture in the State. It owes its beginning and development to an extraordinary darling and benefactor of Art, Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh II, a leader of the recent august territory of Jaipur. The School was begun in 1857 A.D., at first with the name "Madarsa-e-Hunari", for example The Institute of Arts. In course of time, the organization turned into a pioneer in the field of workmanship with upwards of forty distinct controls of craftsmanship and art on its educational program. In the end it came to be known as "Maharaja School of Arts and Crafts" in 1886 A.D. The present organization, "Rajasthan School of Art" is the successor of the previously mentioned foundation which has now obtained a prestigious spot in the instructing and learning of Visual Arts.
